This Dublin from James Upshall immediately draws the attention to the fore thanks to the immense bowl, which sits atop a sturdy heel. The walls of the bowl flare upward to a flat rim that looks into a capacious chamber, ready to be filled with your favorite tobacco. Out back, a sturdy shank-and-stem combination lends some balance to the pipe. The rounded shank extends a few inches before meeting a tapered stem of black vulcanite, one whose hues complement the rich stain up front.
