English Estates: Charatan's Make Perfection (483DC) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-002-36858

Charatan's name carries with it a storied legacy since Frederick Charatan founded the company in 1863. From that point on, the marque would become a trailblazer for pipe making, being the first brand to make briar pipes by hand. This "483 DC" bent Dublin by Charatan is a distinctive rendition of the classic shape that employs some of the softer features of the Acorn. The bowl stands tall, its walls flaring from a rounded heel towards a subtle ridge near the rim and then tapering inward, creating a figure resembling a bell. A sturdy shank lifts out of a wide transition from the bowl and joins a smartly bent saddle stem, its posture perfect for jaw hanging. A smooth chestnut finish dresses the stummel, revealing lovely birdseye on the right flank.
