English Estates: Dunhill Root Briar (41CY) (1977) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-002-37090

This "41CY" Billiard from Dunhill features a tall, upright bowl that stands at the fore of a sleek, arrow-straight shank-and-stem arrangement. The trimness of the shank and stem lends a gracile look to the shape's silhouette, placing most of the compositional visual weight at the bowl, which consists of thick, insulating walls that subtly flare to the rim. Dressing this piece is the warm Root Briar finish, highlighting gorgeous grain throughout the stummel.

The highest honor for a Dunhill pipe is to receive the prestigious Root Briar appellation. Root Briars have been coveted by pipe smokers ever since they first debuted in 1931, due to the fact that each pipe must boast briar completely free of even the most minor of blemishes. Dunhill has the strictest of standards and expectations for quality with all of their pipes, and so any block of briar that comes to bear the Root Briar stamp must indeed be superlative.
