English Estates: Dunhill Root Briar with Silver (2108) (2022) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-002-37213

Dunhill's "08" shape designation can denote either a bent Bulldog or a Rhodesian — the latter found here thanks to its rounded shank. This Group 2 rendition is forward-urging and low-set, the shape's bowl rounded by an iconic pair of beadlines just above the transition and close to the rim. The curvature of the heel is consistent and informs the bowl's fore and the shank's upward curve, making for a cohesive composition that aligns with the design's classic standards. Dressed in the Root Briar finish the stummel displays fine flame grain around the bowl, handsomely contrasted by a sleek silver band.

The highest honor for a Dunhill pipe is to receive the prestigious Root Briar appellation. Root Briars have been coveted by pipe smokers ever since they first debuted in 1931, due to the fact that each pipe must boast briar completely free of even the most minor of blemishes. Dunhill has the strictest of standards and expectations for quality with all of their pipes, and so any block of briar that comes to bear the Root Briar stamp must indeed be superlative.
