English Estates: Barling Sandblasted Apple (1655) (EXEL) (Pre-Transition) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-37256
Pipes from Barling's Pre-Transition era are highly collectible, as they represent a time when the Barling family still oversaw production. A handsome showcase of Barling's Pre-Transition era, this "1655" Apple features a plump, full-bodied bowl that displays an arcing taper from its sturdy heel to its flat rim. A wide, low-set transition pairs the bowl to a trim shank and a slender saddle stem, the latter of which promotes a comfortable clench. Dressing this piece is a crisp, earth-toned sandblast that draws out rugged grain across the briar's surface.
