English Estates: Comoy's Special Smooth Canadian (170) (29646) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-002-37328

The Canadian is a shape that thrives through classic iterations of the profile, as the deceptively simple alteration of the Billiard requires a deft hand to create the measured exaggeration of the shank which makes it so iconic. This "170" example from Comoy's deftly displays the skill required to fashion the shape, its shank and stem nicely balancing the presence of the bowl. Said shank lies low on the bowl and ebbs out of a wide transition, its ovoid outline meeting a trim, tapering stem of genuine cumberland. The bowl this pairing balances boasts plump, pert walls that take on a delightfully subtle forward cant from atop a rounded heel, their slightly rounded contours sure to make for a comfortable fit in hand. Dressing this piece is a rich, vibrant stain that unveils a wealth of handsome grain and is complemented remarkably well by the hues of the cumberland stem.
