English Estates: GBD International Bent Billiard (9456) (pre-1980) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-002-37397

GBD, its name deriving from those of its three founders Ganneval, Bondier, and Donninger, originally began life in Paris in 1850. In later years, the company would be sold to A. Oppenheimer & Co. in London in 1902, where it would become an English marque. This bent Billiard from GBD sees a pert, plump bowl posed at the fore of a sharply bent shank and saddle stem, their Oom Paul-like posture making this piece a comfortable jaw-hanger. Dressed in a smooth chestnut finish, the stummel showcases handsome grain throughout.
