Though the Willmer factory closed its doors in the mid-2000s, the family-owned marque had been hand-making pipes for over 60 years prior to their shuttering, and this AAA-graded bent Billiard showcases their unique style well. A unique take on the classic profile, this pipe boasts a low-set transition and a straight shank that pushes out to meet a sleek saddle stem possessed of a faint downturn at the bit. Up front, the bowl stands on a firm heel and grows thick walls that rise over two inches to a subtly chamfered rim, their nearly cylindrical build almost Dublin-like in silhouette. Dressed in a warm, smooth finish and mahogany stain, the stummel showcases lovely grain, with flickering flame surrounding the thick walls of the bowl.
