Though the Dorchester brand is known as a Comoy's seconds brand, this particular bent Billiard features unique stamping that's distinct from Comoy's-specific stamping. A thick, hearty take on the classic shape, this piece boasts ample substance and a reassuring feel in hand, balanced by a deep bend that poises it for comfortable smoking. The transition is tight and gives way to a robust shank that tapers as it reaches toward a smartly curved stem of similarly tapering black vulcanite, affording this pipe an active stance. Up front, the bowl stands on a rounded heel and grows thick, plump walls that taper gently as they reach to the rim, canting forward for a subtle bit of dynamism. Dressed in a warm, rich stain, the stummel showcases handsome grain throughout, with birdseye across the flanks of the bowl.
