English Estates: Dunhill County with Silver Army Mount (3102) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-37577
A very dapper yet not terribly common find, here we have Dunhill's classic "02" Billiard in handy Group 3 size, dressed in their dark, smooth Bruyere finish, and fitted with a silver army mount. The shapely bowl balances at the end of a trim shank, while the willowy tapered stem flows freely from its mounting. The added practicality afforded by its ability to be taken apart easily and whenever necessary is enhanced by the silver's handsome contrast to the earthy stain of the briar. Overall, it's a timeless and endlessly charming piece, complete with plenty of practicality and rugged charm thanks to the crisp sandblast of the County series.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.
