English Estates: Loewe & Co. 'Bagley' Smooth Apple Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-38021
Founded by Emil Loewe in 1856 in London, Loewe & Co. was known for their spigot mounts and has been credited by some as the first English brand to use briar pipes. Throughout the years, the ownership of Loewe & Co. passed through several hands, including Civic and eventually Cadogan. This Apple from Loewe & Co. is an incredibly lightweight option, as well as a Sitter, ideal for multitaskers who prefer their smoke on the go. From a leveled heel, the plump walls of the bowl rise to meet a flat rim that looks into a reserved tobacco chamber, perfect for shorter smoking sessions. Out back, the flat underside carries across the slender shank before the stummel meets an inky vulcanite mouthpiece that tapers to the button. The dark hue of the stem pairs nicely with the smooth chestnut stain dressing the fore, showcasing rich vertical grain and birdseye throughout.
