English Estates: Dunhill County Quaint Bent Dublin (4) (2017) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-37759
Belonging to their Quaint series, denoting pipes that fall outside of Dunhill's traditional shape chart, this bent Dublin maintains the gentle flare often associated with the shape, but with a pronounced and softly rounded heel reminiscent of an Acorn. Coming out of the low-slung transition that accentuates the height of the bowl, the shank makes a slight upturn before being outpaced by the tapered stem, itself making a firm downturn, which should provide quite the comfortable smoking position. Dressed in the rustic County sandblast and paired to a cumberland stem, this piece strikes quite the fetching profile.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.
