In keeping with Ashton's usual output, this bent Dublin boasts a crisp, grain-defining sandblast, a sterling silver accent, and a muscular, full-bodied build — all of which culminate in a composition that's undeniably attractive and eye-catching. The bowl here flares from its firm heel to its broad rim, and as it does, it takes on a subtle forward cant that imbues the totality of the form with an active appearance in profile. The Pebble Grain sandblast dresses the stummel and unveils lively grain across the briar's surface, its muted hues contrasted by a sterling silver mount along the shank end.
