English Estates: GBD Legacy Carved Bent Billiard (9665) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-002-37772

Originally from St. Claude France, GBD was one of the first pipe makers to craft pipes from briar. Despite their French origins, GBD moved to London at the turn of the 20th century, and is predominantly known as a British brand. This "9665" bent Billiard by GBD takes some creative liberties and diverts from the traditional Billiard shape. The bent shank is a trapezoid, tapering from bowl to stem, and the tall bowl tapers upward in a Volcano-esque shape, which makes room for a chamber with surprising depth. Additionally, a vulcanite stem with an ornate base is paired to the stummel, which is dressed in a walnut stain and a rugged, stylized carving.
