English Estates: Orlik Double Bore Smooth Billiard (Twin Bore) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-37800
Originally popular for their pipe tobacco products, Orlik was founded in 1899 by Louis L. Orlik. The company eventually became known for producing high-quality briar pipes for reasonable prices. It wasn't until almost 100 years later in 1980 when the Cadogan group bought Orlik and moved production to a factory in Southend-on-Sea where their pipes are still made today.
Incredibly lightweight in nature, this smooth Billiard from Orlik is a classic choice for those looking to take their smoke on the go. Following the traditional silhouette, the cylindrical walls of the bowl ascend from a rounded heel to a flat rim. The ninety degree transition gives the smoker plenty of room to grasp the bowl, while the slim shank-and-stem combination behind it tapers toward the bit, producing a satisfying feel between the teeth as well. The coal-black vulcanite across the stem pairs nicely with the dark stain on the stummel, where handsome cross grain can be seen throughout.
