English Estates: Dunhill Root Briar (34) (2) (R) (1967) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-37897
This vintage "34" Billiard from Dunhill comes from 1967 and is crafted in Group 2 size for an elegant and sophisticated rendition of the traditional Billiard silhouette that both new and old pipe smokers can recognize and respect. Climbing from a plump heel, the walls of the cylindrical bowl curve subtly to meet at the flat rim. From the ninety-degree transition, a slender shank-and-stem combination begins its gradual taper toward the bit, keeping the aft side looking slim. The jet-black vulcanite is the perfect match for the lighter Root Briar finish across the stummel, where the stain reveals rich vertical grain and patches of birdseye. This Billiard is lightweight and is the perfect option for those looking for an enjoyable smoke on the go or while relaxing at home.
The highest honor for a Dunhill pipe is to receive the prestigious Root Briar appellation. Root Briars have been coveted by pipe smokers ever since they first debuted in 1931, due to the fact that each pipe must boast briar completely free of even the most minor of blemishes. Dunhill has the strictest of standards and expectations for quality with all of their pipes, and so any block of briar that comes to bear the Root Briar stamp must indeed be superlative.
