English Estates: Dunhill Chestnut (4102F) (2020) (9mm) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-37880
A thoroughly classic English pipe, this bent Billiard from Dunhill boasts a seamless, sweeping profile, the elongated, bent stem ensuring it should hang effortlessly from the jaw. There's a good deal of sinuousness here that the eyes are sure to appreciate, with plenty of curves through the bowl as well to ensure a comfortable feel in hand. Rendered in Group 4 size, this "02" is a balanced and delightfully sinuous pipe that is primed for easy clenching or travel carry. Dressed in the dark stain and glossy top coat of the Chestnut finish, this pipe showcases handsome grain throughout. Additionally, this is an "02F," meaning that it's been drilled to accommodate 9mm filters.
A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
