English Estates: Ferndown Bark Pot (*) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-002-37931

Before starting Ferndown, Les Wood was a master silversmith at Dunhill for over 20 years. Ferndown was founded in the 1980s, and because of their high-quality pipes, many smokers believe that Ferdown embodies the revival of English pipe making. The bowl on this Pot from Ferndown is squat and muscular, with a touch of extra substance to insulate its respectable tobacco chamber. The trim shank and tapering stem push most of the visual weight of this piece to the bowl. Dressing this piece is an inky rustication along the stummel that is texturally contrasted by the smooth, chestnut stain on the rim.
