English Estates: James Upshall Smooth Rhodesian (P) (FH) (Ex. L) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-38208
James Upshall was founded by talented artisans Barry Jones and Kenneth Barns in 1978 to produce high-quality hand-made pipes. At James Upshall, no part of their production uses pre-set machinery, each pipe is shaped by a single lathe and the craftsman's artistic skill. This craftsmanship is what continues to uphold the quality and traditions that have made the James Upshall name so renowned. The workshop specializes in straight-grain Anglo-French classics, as showcased in this handsome bent Rhodesian. Measuring in at just over two inches in length and housing a bowl over two inches in height, this Rhodesian from James Upshall boasts a palm-filling build. The bowl stands on a soft heel, its walls flaring upward to two twin beadlines at its waist before tapering in towards a flat rim. Out back, a round shank lifts from the transition and meets a demurely bent mouthpiece of black vulcanite that provides a comfortable clench. Dressing the stummel is a walnut, smooth finish that displays a stunning array of straight grain along the bowl.
