English Estates: Comoy's Specimen Straight Grain Billiard (342) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-38334
Originating in a small factory in Saint-Claude, France, Comoy's is presumed to have started in clay, boxwood, and beech pipes. In 1879 Henri Comoy brought the business to London and is considered one of the prime movers in the establishment of the briar pipe trade. This "342" Billiard from Comoy's is a muscular and hefty take on the shape-chart standard. While the cylindrical bowl is tall and brawny, it balances well with the sturdy shank and stem out back, the latter cut from acrylic and tapering toward the bit. This Billiard also houses a capacious tobacco chamber, ensuring you don't sacrifice any smoking time while enjoying this pipe. The aforementioned inky stem is an ideal companion for the rich stain dressing the stummel, which offers impressive vertical grain.
