English Estates: Dunhill Root Briar (41032) (1983) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-38526
Offered in moderate Group 4 dimensions, this "41032" straight Billiard from Dunhill comes to us from 1983 and is representative of one of the most iconic shapes on the classic pipe chart. The shape here is fittingly rendered by The White Spot — the English marque having both mastered the shape and been instrumental in proliferating it around the world. The bowl is stout and well-rounded, standing proudly atop a firmly rounded heel and displaying a subtle forward cant which pushes it into further prominence.
The highest honor for a Dunhill pipe is to receive the prestigious Root Briar appellation. Root Briars have been coveted by pipe smokers ever since they first debuted in 1931, due to the fact that each pipe must boast briar completely free of even the most minor of blemishes. Dunhill has the strictest of standards and expectations for quality with all of their pipes, and so any block of briar that comes to bear the Root Briar stamp must indeed be superlative.
