English Estates: Dunhill Root Briar (6952) (4) (R) (1975) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-002-38358

Dated to 1975, this vintage "6952" Dublin from Dunhill boasts a lightweight, compact design, making it well-suited for an on-the-go smoker. Despite its petite proportions, the bowl houses a respectable chamber, formed by walls that flare from a round heel to a softly domed rim. A slender shank reaches from the bowl and meets a saddle stem of vulcanite, a combination that further emphasizes this piece's slender physique. Dressed in the Root Briar finish, the stummel displays swirls of bridseye on each flank of the bowl.

The highest honor for a Dunhill pipe is to receive the prestigious Root Briar appellation. Root Briars have been coveted by pipe smokers ever since they first debuted in 1931, due to the fact that each pipe must boast briar completely free of even the most minor of blemishes. Dunhill has the strictest of standards and expectations for quality with all of their pipes, and so any block of briar that comes to bear the Root Briar stamp must indeed be superlative.
