English Estates: Dunhill Root Briar (31021) (1970) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-38621
A thoroughly classic English pipe, this bent Billiard from Dunhill boasts a seamless, sweeping profile, the elongated, bent stem ensuring it should hang effortlessly from the jaw. There's a good deal of sinuousness here that the eyes are sure to appreciate, with plenty of curves through the bowl as well to ensure a comfortable feel in hand. Rendered in Group 3 size, this "02" is a balanced and delightfully sinuous pipe that is primed for easy clenching or travel carry. Dressed in the warm, mahogany tones of the Root Briar finish, this pipe showcases fine wisps of flame grain and swirls of birdseye.
The highest honor for a Dunhill pipe is to receive the prestigious Root Briar appellation. Root Briars have been coveted by pipe smokers ever since they first debuted in 1931, due to the fact that each pipe must boast briar completely free of even the most minor of blemishes. Dunhill has the strictest of standards and expectations for quality with all of their pipes, and so any block of briar that comes to bear the Root Briar stamp must indeed be superlative.
