English Estates: GBD New Era Colossus Bent Dublin with Perspex Stem (9552) (pre-1980) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-002-38789

In 1850, pipe makers Ganneval, Bondier, and Donniger established a firm in Paris and the brand GBD, a combination of each initial, was born. Earlier than most, GBD recognized the unique advantages of making briar pipes. During its first 40 years, GBD was awarded over 15 medals of achievement for their pipes worldwide, accomplishments that aided in spreading the brand to international recognition. Dated before 1980, this handsome bent Dublin boasts a strong trumpeting flare to a deep tobacco chamber. Transitioning from the bowl is a sharply upturned shank that pairs to a smartly bent, clear saddle stem to form a comfortable jaw-hanging posture. This pipe comes dressed in the warm hues of the New Era finish, highlighting impressive grain throughout.
