English Estates: Charatan's Make Sandblasted Poker (4840C (Regd. No.) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-002-38796

Charatan's name carries with it a storied legacy since Frederick Charatan founded the company in 1863. From that point on, the marque would become a trailblazer for pipe making, being the first brand to make briar pipes by hand. A hearty rendition, this Poker from Charatan renders the classic shape with plenty of substance throughout. Standing tall with a slight forward cant, the bowl grows thick, straight walls from the flat heel toward the chamfered rim. Lifting gently from the bowl out back is a muscular shank that meets one of Charatan's signature Double Comfort saddle stems, whose graceful downturn offers a comfortable smoking posture. Dressing the stummel is a red-tinged sandblast with a wealth of rugged texture for the hand to appreciate, save for the rim which is finished smooth.
