English Estates: Barling's Make Ye Olde Wood Smooth Pot (1533) (T.V.F.) (Pre-Transition) (Replacement Stem) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-002-38950

Fashioned during Barling's Pre-Transition era, a time before the early 1960s when the Barling family still oversaw manufacturing of the company's pipes, this Pot is a highly collectible piece, representing a bygone time in English pipe-making history. Shape-wise, it presents a pert bowl that rises at the fore of an arrow-straight shank-and-stem arrangement. The bowl possesses a touch more visual heft than the comparatively sleek shank and stem, its fairly stout build drawing the eye and offering just enough insulating briar for the fingers to comfortably grip. Dressed in a smoky smooth finish, the stummel displays some handsome whorls of birdseye across the bowl's flanks.

Note: The stem of this piece is a replacement, the price has been adjusted accordingly.
