English Estates: Ashton Brindle Bent Billiard with Silver (XX) (2023) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

There's an interesting medley of textures and finishes within this piece from Ashton. Starting with the stummel, all but the rim has been treated to a crisp sandblast, and the entirety of it has been stained a deep chestnut brown and given a glossy finish. At the junction is a thick silver accent band, with its bright, smooth, metallic appearance creating a strong contrast against the dark-stained, highly-textured stummel. On the other side of the accent band is a bent, brindled, saddle stem. The brindling on said stem comes in a rich chestnut hue similar to that found on the stummel, though slightly redder and more vibrant. As is custom for Ashton pipes, this bent Billiard embodies classic English shaping principles with its modest, streamlined proportions and graceful, elegant curves.
