English Estates: Dunhill Root Briar (ODA) (835) (F/T) (1986) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-39185
An incredibly hearty, muscular piece from Dunhill, this "835" ODA Billiard has a satisfying weight without feeling cumbersome to hold. Solid, sturdy walls house a cavernous chamber within the substantially sized bowl. Like the bowl, both the shank and the vulcanite stem showcase powerful, muscular curves of their own.
Birdseye whorls across the rim and dances across the right flank of the bowl while tendrils of flame grain trail along the left flank. Every fine detail of the grain is brought out by Dunhill's distinguished Root Briar finish.
The highest honor for a Dunhill pipe is to receive the prestigious Root Briar appellation. Root Briars have been coveted by pipe smokers ever since they first debuted in 1931, due to the fact that each pipe must boast briar completely free of even the most minor of blemishes. Dunhill has the strictest of standards and expectations for quality with all of their pipes, and so any block of briar that comes to bear the Root Briar stamp must indeed be superlative.
