English Estates: Dunhill Bruyere Patent (T142) (Vernon Tenon) Tobacco Pipe

A very unique Dunhill pipe, this Patent piece dates to the first half of the 20th century, and though its pieces are entirely original, it's a rare combination of elements. Typically the Bruyere finish is paired to a classic, jet-black vulcanite stem. Instead, this example bears one of brindled cumberland — more akin to the Chestnut and Cumberland series. Moreover, it bears a vernon tenon, a distinctive Dunhill invention marked by tines that was introduced in 1931 and used until World War II.
