English Estates: Tilshead Smooth Bent Billiard Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-39465
This bent Billiard from James Upshall's sub-brand, Tilshead, is a thoroughly English rendition of the traditional shape — perfect for those lovers of pipes adhering to the classic shape-chart standards championed by brands like Dunhill's "02" and the "42" from Comoy's. The stem's prominent bend paired with the acute transition from the angled shank into the upright bowl lends a comfortable jaw hanging posture typical of bent Billiards. A mid-set shank makes for an acute transition, with a comfortable space between the bowl and shank to drape a finger. When viewing the stummel's left flank, one can see swirling eddies of birdseye , while the right flank features thick rays of flame grain expanding from the rim toward the heel. The finish is smooth, colored a dark and earthy shade of red.
