About This Pipe

Alfred Dunhill established Parker in 1922 to market his titular company's flawed pipes at discounted prices. Parker became successful in America in the 1930s and merged with Hardcastle after Dunhill opened a new factory next door. The shape of this Liverpool from Parker is as straightforward as they come — a long, round shank ending in a Billiard bowl, with a tapered stem out back. What makes it unique is its grain — a striking, tightly-packed cross grain on the left and right flanks and wonderful birdseye everywhere else. The smooth finish is gentle to the touch of the hand, a perfect complement to this piece's ease on the eyes.
