French Estates: Wessex Partially Sandblasted Dublin (602)
Product Number: 004-003-23026
What's particularly impressed me about Wessex over the years has been their ability to provide hand-cut stems at such low price points. A hand-cut stem can double the price of a pipe, but you wouldn't know it with this brand. In this example, a smooth rim presides over the medium profile sandblast for some contrast of texture, and we also find the stem is of cumberland. Grain orientation is cross-cut, with growth rings fore and aft and birdseye well placed on each flank.- Chuck Stanion
