Chacom's Pipe of the Year for 2018 is this subtly bent Egg, replete with a sinuously flowing profile and gentle forward urge, imbuing it with a princely character, magnified by the dress pipe-esque finish. The bowl is tall, and the chamber slants backwards, the fore of the rim rising to its zenith like a monolith, resting upon its bowed wall that sweeps eagerly into the heel, a consistent undercurve running all the way to the bit. The half-saddle cumberland stem adds a subtle coloration and enhances the singular profile, the brindled vulcanite contrasting the glossy black finish of the stummel.
