A lean, utilitarian design, this Poker from Alpina features a tall, cylindrical bowl that sits sturdily atop a flat heel. Said heel is dramatically slanted and cants the bowl forward, giving the composition an active posture in profile. The slender shank-and-stem arrangement extends from the near the bowl's midsection and softly curls toward the bit for a comfortable smoking posture. It's all dressed in a warm, ruddy, smooth finish that accentuates the natural grain orientation of the briar quite well.
