A muscular rendition of the classic Billiard shape, this "184" from Ropp marries a tall, upright bowl to an arrow-straight shank-and-stem arrangement. The thick-walled bowl is balanced in profile by the equally hearty shank, which is about as long as the bowl is tall, resulting in a comfortable yet sturdy in-hand presence. It's all dressed in the rugged, dark, Pompei sandblast, which brings vivid definition to the briar and provides ample texture for the fingers to explore.
