French Estates: Butz-Choquin Festival Geante Smooth Bent Billiard (1309) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-003-7014
The French marque Butz-Choquin was founded in the 1850s in Metz, France. In 1951, the brand moved to St. Claude, France, the Mecca of French pipe making, where their pipes gained even greater popularity. This bent Billiard from Butz-Choquin is part of their Geante series, a title reserved for their largest pipes. The robust stummel highlights birdseye running from the shank to the rim, and contrasting cross grain along the front and rear of the bowl, which are both dressed in a cherry, smooth finish. The stem is a sharply-bent, vulcanite saddle stem that hangs comfortably during smokes.
