French Estates: Charatan Mayfair Smooth Acorn (373) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-003-7795

Charatan's name carries with it a storied legacy since Frederick Charatan founded the company in 1863. Since its founding, the marque was a trailblazer for pipe making, being the first brand to make briar pipes by hand. This "373" Acorn by Charatan is a more rotund rendition of the shape. The bowl's walls flare out broadly from a softened heel and begin to taper towards the rim, creating a plump physique that fits comfortably in the hand. Transitioning from the bowl is a sturdy shank, which flows into a bent saddle stem. Adorning the stummel is a warm hazelnut stain, which brings out lovely birdseye on the left flank.
