French Estates: Butz-Choquin Ultima Smooth Bent Dublin (9mm) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-003-8014
The French marque Butz-Choquin was founded in the 1850s in Metz, France. In 1951, the brand moved to St. Claude, France, the Mecca of French pipe making, where their pipes gained even greater popularity. This bent Dublin by Butz-Choquin features a crisp, diamond shank-and-stem arrangement, but the sharp lines are gently softened by their demure bend in profile. Furthermore, the bowl curls upward out of a seamless transition, the walls flaring to an intriguing rim. Said rim is framed by a broad, crisp ridge, from which it ascends to a pronounced, trim inner rim. Furthermore, the rim is dressed in an inky stain, offering an understated contrast to the mahogany smooth finish on the stummel.
