French Estates: Ropp Vintage Superior Billiard Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-003-8137
Back in the 1970s, Chapuis-Comoy created a batch of stummels that were turned from select briar and free of any fills. Yet, where they ended up was not in pipe shops, but in storage. That is, of course, only until Antoine Grenard turned them into a smooth-finished, select-grade sibling series to the popular Ropp Vintage. In this rendition, the towering Billiard bowl boasts quite the chamber capacity and is paired to a muscular shank and tapering stem, for a balanced disposition. Dressed in a traditional, mahogany-hued stain, highlighting a plethora of vivid birdseye and pairing well with the tan and black authentic horn stem, this piece also nestles comfortably in hand.
