French Estates: Genod Smooth Dublin (CO213) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-003-8164

The Genod brand dates back to 1865 when pipe-making pioneer, Comoy's, founded a workshop in Saint-Claude to produce classic French-style pipes. Eventually, Georges Vincent took over production along with his son-in-law, John Craen, who became responsible for the technical development of the factory. Today, all Genod pipes are made by French pipe maker Sebastien Beaud.

This "CO213" smooth Dublin from Genod combines the benefits of a Nosewarmer pipe with a deep chamber for longer smoking sessions. The eyes are drawn forward to the slightly canted bowl that seems to tower over the rest of the pipe. The flared walls of the bowl rise toward a rounded rim, emphasizing this pipe's curvaceous look. The bowl transitions to an oval shank that extends to the saddle stem, one made of genuine horn that displays subtly lighter pigmentation at the bit. The smooth finish and rich stain bring out birdseye, its pattern most predominantly seen along the bowl's right flank.
