French Estates: Chacom Flame Grain Sandblasted Bent Apple (871) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-003-8195
The largest French brand to still combine tradition, creation, and innovation, Chacom pipes are now sold in over 40 countries. Initially manufacturing boxwood pipes for Napoleon's army, the Comoy family eventually joined forces with their cousins, the Chapuises, as one of the first brands to carve briar pipes. Now known as Chacom, the business has a storied history and is still going strong, providing the world with incredible pipes almost 200 years later.
This "871" bent Apple from Chacom honors the classic silhouette. The plump walls of the slightly canted bowl rise and taper in toward the rim. Out back, a sturdy shank-and-stem combination begins its continuous taper toward a slim bit, bending slightly to provide a satisfying mouth feel. A handsome sandblast along the stummel highlights rich growth rings across the bowl.
