French Estates: Butz-Choquin Gentleman Roc (2) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-003-8229

The French marque Butz-Choquin started in the 1850s when Jean-Baptise Choquin and his son-in-law, Gustave Butz, created their first pipe together. In 1858, the pair crafted the famous Choquin pipe, a design style that brought the brand to international recognition. A compact Nosewarmer, this Apple from Butz-Choquin is perfect for an on-the-go smoker. The bowl here is characteristic of the classic shape; from a soft heel, the rounded walls rise to a flat rim. The lightweight nature and slight bend in the shank and stem allow this piece to rest comfortably in the mouth. Compared to the stummel, the vulcanite mouthpiece is rather small, pushing most of the visual weight to the fore. Carved black circles are etched into the stummel, their dark color complementing the light tan stain.
