The Chacom legacy is longstanding, with the Comoy family making pipes as far back as 1825. In 1870 the Comoy family joined forces with their cousins, the Chapuises to form what eventually became the Chacom brand. Now being sold in over 40 countries, Chacom pipes are recognized thanks to their mix of tradition, creativity, and innovation.
This "368" Apple from Chacom is a stout interpretation of the classic shape. Up front, a plump bowl stands atop a supple heel and grows rounded walls that curve upward to a chamfered rim. A wide transition gives way to a straight, slender shank-and-stem combination. Said slenderness pushes most of the visual weight of this pipe toward the robust bowl. Dressing this piece is a mahogany finish that highlights beautiful patches of birdseye on the left flank of the stummel. -Madison Long
