French Estates: Jean Lacroix Paris Smooth Brandy (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-003-8439

Keeping with the tradition of pipe-making set by his grandfather, Jean Lacroix parted ways with the family business in the early 1960s to form his own company. Today, Jean Lacroix, Chacom, Jeantet, and Vuillard are all pieces of the larger Cuty-Fort Enterprises. Jean still makes pipes today, specializing in Freehands that are admired throughout the world. A more traditionally inclined piece from the workshop, this Brandy exudes an air of mystery and moodiness thanks to its inky coloration and sleek profile. Up front, the walls of the bowl rise from a broad heel as they dramatically taper inward to the flat rim, producing the outline of the pipe's namesake. The transition offers ample room to wrap the thumb as it gives way to a rounded and softly bent shank-and-stem arrangement, the pair connected at the junction by a thick metallic accent band that adds a pop of shine to the dark design.
