This smooth Billiard — of French origin but from an unknown maker — offers a muscular take on the classic shape, perfect for those who enjoy the refined elegance of shape-chart standards with a little extra in-hand presence. The bowl, plump and perched upright at the pipe's fore, makes a wide transition into a buff shank, which goes on to join with a vulcanite stem that swiftly tapers to the bit. A light smooth stain highlights loose swirls of birdseye that blow across the fore of the bowl and its left flank like smoke.
