German Estates: Jurgen Moritz Rusticated Apple with Horn (315)
Product Number: 004-005-4913
A highly textured and compact take on the Apple, this little number from Jürgen Moritz features a low-slung, forward-urging bowl that's been carved in gorgeous, coiled rustication. It reminds me of Tom Eltang's iconic finish and feels superb and intriguing in hand. With a ferrule of horn at the shank end and smooth, polished rim, it's quite the handsome briar rendered in pocket-friendly proportions. If considering this piece, note that the vulcanite of the stem is somewhat spotted, though it won't impact the pipe's performance in any way.
The pipe you see is the pipe you receive. Click here to see our photography process.
