German Estates: Merkur 2000 Smooth Bent Apple (907) (West Germany) (Unsmoked)

Product Number: 004-005-5218

A German department store chain owned by entrepreneur Helmut Horten, Merkur offered a number of luxury lifestyle items, including branded pipes. This particular bent Apple was fashioned in West Germany before the country's reunification in 1990, and the form offers a gently rounded bowl on the end of an oval shank with a gentle transition that pronounces the bowl's forward cant and acts as a comfortable thumb rest.
