German Estates: Rainer Barbi Smooth Brandy (BA) (2000)

Product Number: 004-005-5302

A plump-bowled Brandy from the late German carver Rainer Barbi, this piece features the soft bowl, crisp shank, and clean lines that one would hope for from his work. Rainer followed the briar's grain perfectly, giving us brilliant vertical striations of flame grain that leap up the bowl, and birdseye packs the heel and shank underside, both made all the more delightful under a smooth traditional finish. A thin, light-colored accent graces the shank end, providing a pop of contrast before the sleek taper of the black vulcanite stem.
