German Estates: Rainer Barbi Sandblasted Pot (CB) (1999)

Product Number: 004-005-5304

Rainer Barbi was one of Germany's leading carvers before his passing in 2011, with his pipes remarkably shaped to best show off the grain beneath. This Pot design is one of the late artisan's more slender renditions, with a rounded bowl housing a good bit of chamber and poised pertly at the end of a stretched, lithe length of shank and stem. Lightweight and impressive of line and form, it's wearing a low-profile, dark sandblast that showcases tight, rippling stacks of ring grain, while the smooth, mahogany-stained rim complements the hues of the stummel.
