German Estates: Frank Axmacher Smooth Bent Apple (2014) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-005-6439

A sculptor and stonemason by training, Frank Axmacher found much success when transitioning to pipe making. With over a decade of experience, the German artisan is considered a master by his peers. This bent Apple is a fine example of his work, featuring a forward angled rim and plump curvaceous walls at the fore of an especially muscular shank with a negligible transition, giving this piece a robust, Horn-like demeanor. A hand-cut vulcanite saddle stem completes the ensemble, comfortably bent for easy clenching. Dressed in a rich walnut finish, the stummel boasts fine flame grain around the bowl and shank, with swirling birdseye at the heel.
